About the Event
Who: All POC/Indigenous Grads, Undergrads, Post Docs, and New Haven community members
What: POC Meditation and Healing Space, with guided meditation, reflection, and community building FOR and BY people of color; beginner friendly // for all levels of meditation experience.
When: This week's session will be held at One Village Healing- 216 Crown Street 4th Floor
Why: To create space, share, reflect, re-ground in the body, nurture ourselves, find community.
The sessions rotate across the Yale cultural houses in an aspiration to offer community care and healing that is grounded in the body, as well as to foster greater solidarity across age, school, and POC/indigenous identities. We then engage in an activity or conversation to open space for embodied practice, exploration of our edges, and collective healing. This year One Village Healing will host a session once a month in effort to create deeper community across the houses and to widen the bridge of connection between Yale and New Haven.
