MONTHLY SIX-PART SERIES

6:00 - 8:00 PM  |  DEC 17, JAN 21, FEB 18, MAR 17, APR 21, MAY 19 

This six-part series will provide an introduction to, and deepening of the religious/spiritual practices within the West African, Yorùbá Òrìṣà Tradition. This is a Nature-based, experiential, indigenous religion with rich traditions, sacred literature and practices. Topics covered will include an overview of theology, Ancestor(Egúngún) reverence, understanding the Òrìṣà (divinities), Ifá sacred literature and divination, as well as the role of sacrifice and prayer in our practices. Each session will be two hours long and will have approximately one hour of instruction and teaching and one hour of Q&A.

This series is free and open to ALL people. Children and families are welcome. Snacks will be provided.  Bring a notebook if you want.  Feel free to drop in for a single session, for a couple, or for all of them.  It is not necessary to come to all six sessions but each session will cover something different.

ABOUT ENROUE HALFKENNY

Classes will be taught by Enroue Halfkenny ‘Awo Onigbonna’, Babaláwo (Priest of Ifá), Clinical Social Worker and owner of Healing and Liberation Counseling in New Haven, CT. Enroue has over 25 years experience in the West African, Yoruba Òrìṣà Tradition, including a 6 year apprenticeship with Babalawo and Àwíṣẹ ÒgunWándé Abímbọlá, the spokesperson for Ifa in the world, and 19 years as an initiated Priest of Ifá.
